I recently needed to look up how to check the time and date stamp for a given file so I could make a truthy dynamic google sitemap for a project I was working on, and couldn't remember what project I last used it with.  I found it of course, but only after finding several earlier versions of it first and realizing that it wasn't where I thought it was about a dozen times.  I decided that I should just make a blog to store snippets of useful code. Not only will it be here for me, but perhaps someone else might find it useful, too.

Anyway.  Here it is.  I use this code inside a CFC that I can call from anywhere I need to.
